HOME > Research Activities      Constitutional medicine research is intended to scientifically examine the Sasang constitutional medicine, Korea's unique TKM, and establish EBM for it. It is also known as the Lee Je-Ma Project, named after the originator of Sasang constitutional medicine.   The Lee Je-Ma Project research team includes multi-disciplinary experts covering the fields of medicine, engineering, biology, physics, statistics, and so on. In addition, a variety of relevant researches are underway where clinical trials based on constitutional diagnosis are conducted to develop original TKM treatment techniques based on the theory of Sasang constitutional medicine; to develop contents for constitutional diagnosis/health diagnosis; to identify genetic characteristics of constitutional classification; and to develop customized medicines.   Such researches are intended to realize customized health care services based on constitutional medicine and help improve the health of all mankind through the globalization of Sasang constitutional medicine.           Constitutional Biology and Medical Engineering Research Center Make constitutional medicine scientific through research in constitution-related genes, diseases, drugs, and pharmacological mechanisms Develop devices for constitutional health diagnosis and medical treatment     Clustering based on Genetic Similarity (Neighbor-Joining Tree of Individual Similarity)       Constitutional Medicine Clinical Research Center Develop diagnostic and treatment techniques to ensure a clinical basis for constitutional medicine Composition of a multi-institutional (including TKM hospitals and clinics) clinical research network Establishment of an integrated CIB (Constitutional Information Bank), that includes constitutional clinical information, information measured by devices, biological information Establishment of an integrated database of Korean Families’ case histories for research into constitutional genetics
